Overview
My name is Dr. Zac Hyden. I have a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) PhD from the University of California, Berkeley and five Automotive Service Excellence certifications in brakes, steering and suspension, electrical, engine repair, and engine performance. I use a version of the scientific method adapted to automotive repair to diagnose and repair electronic and electrical problems on modern automobiles. I have 14 years of experience in both dealer and independent shops. I also founded The Automotive Free Clinic, a non-profit repair shop that repaired vehicles at cost.
Service Cost
Labor rate for commercial contracts is half of contracting shop’s labor rate plus a service manual fee of $21.59 per vehicle. If contracting shops have electronic service manuals available (Alldata, Prodemand, or Identifix), the service manual fee is waived. Parts are sold at cost or provided by contracting shop.
Labor rate for the general public is $140 per hour plus parts, which are not marked up. A $21.59 service manual fee per car is also required.
Please consider Hank’s Industries for all your automotive diagnostic needs.
